Mosaic School & Courses
The mosaic art courses and workshops are aimed at everyone interested in art. My artistic experience with mosaic restorations and the numerous mosaic designs in southern Europe are an inspiring source of creativity. My wish is to pass this philosophy and experience on to you. For me, art means personal freedom.Art is also a craft that needs to be learned. Proper use of hand tools and materials is just as much a part of the creative experience as constant flow of developing ideas.
Every person feels art differently. For me, every art course is a new, enjoyable challenge because it means working together. I would like to give you individual and interesting ideas for your 'personal' art journey. Combine positive energy with creativity, but above all joy should always be in the foreground. The number of art courses is limited and take place in small groups. Families welcome!

Trencadis Gaudi
Shards-Mosaics Workshop
In this workshop you will learn the so-called Trencardis mosaics techniques invented by Antonio Gaudi. We will work with cut and broken pieces of tiles and porcelain shards as well as original beachglass-pieces from Menorca to create unique new designs and individual indoor and outdoor decorations. Creative support and stimulation will be provided to achieve a creation of your own mosaic design. You will learn how to use the tile cutter and classic ceramics- and mosaic-pliers. You can choose two different workshop types:
Mosaic Vintage Paella Pan:
You will utilise Gaudi's colourful shard technique and bring your own ideas to a decorative, vintage paella-pan, approx 27 cm. Learn how to arrange the pieces of tiles professionally and fix them. In the last step we will show you how to finish the design using cement and how to polish the tiles. (10-hours workshop, price for 2 people, inclusive material and VAT)

Mosaic Beachglass Tealight:
The Trencardis methode can be used in many different ways. One beautiful way with an exiting appeal is a selfmade m-size tea- or windlight with original Menorca - Beachglass. We will show you how you create and fix your own design on a glass, smoothing it with cement and polish the glass. You will be surprised, how easy and nice it is, to create your own beautiful windlight. (4-hours workshop, price for 2 people, inclusive material and VAT)

Mosaic Workshop Beachglass 'FAMILY':
Mosaic s-size tealights with glass pieces from the local beaches and upcycling art with vintage bottle glass. Ideal for kids, familys, groups and events. (3-hours workshop, price until 6 people, inclusive material and VAT)

Groups from 6 people please ask an offer. Course times by appointment. We visit you in your Holiday House with an extra charge from 39€ for the private workshop in your domicile. You can take your artwork with you as a great individual Menorca souvenir of art. ART Made in Menorca.
